Our Christian home was established August 20, 1983, when I married my sweetheart, Kyle.  His work as a youth minister has provided us with the opportunity to worship and work with congregations in Tennessee, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, and Alabama.  Right now we live outside of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and worship with the Cottondale church of Christ. 

Kyle is an associate minister (part-time status) and a deacon.  We teach Bible classes, head the Lads to Leaders and Bible class programs, and care for the Teacher Resource Room. 

I enjoy serving the needs of our dear congregation, but there’s nothing I treasure more than being with my family and serving as a Christian wife, mother and homemaker.  Kyle and I have been blessed to have three wonderful living children.  Lauri Ann, 21, is finishing her junior year at Faulkner University and is majoring in elementary education.  Our son, Landon, 19, is completing his freshman year at Faulkner as a biology major.  Alexandra, 16, is working towards completing her sophomore year in high school, and hopes one day to become a neonatal nurse.  Mitchell Easton, who would have been seven, is waiting for all of us! 

For the past twenty-one plus years I have been granted the privilege of being a stay at home Mom and home schooling each of our children.  I also enjoy reading, studying, sewing and taking long walks by our home out in the country.  I’m happy to be a part of COMMIT this year. It’s my privilege and pleasure to encourage the young ladies who attend to prepare for the blessings God is waiting to give them as a Christian wife and mother!

Our hope and prayer is that this book will enable young women to begin to prepare for their lives in Scriptual leadership roles in the church as well as wives of church leaders.  The future of the Lord's church depends in part on such leadership.
