WENDY - Co-Director - I am a wife, mother, keeper of the home, and homeschool mom.  I enjoy staying at home with my four little girls, teaching the oldest (and cuddling with all) to read books.  I live north of Charlottesville , Virginia (where I also grew up), and I worship with the saints at Orange Community church of Christ.  Friday nights are devoted to Bible studies with the church at Rivanna River.  I have taught Bible class on Wednesday nights and I enjoy preparing dinner for Friday night Bible studies.  I love reading, being with kids, serving God and my family, taking pictures, and crafting.  This is my second year with Camp COMMIT!  

CHRISTA - Co-Director - Life Lessons - "Modesty - More than Meets the Eye" - I'm the mother of my children!  That pretty much defines this season of my life.  I love being the mom of a big, busy bunch of kids.  I have 3 boys and 3 girls, ages 7 to 22, with my first grandchild due in May!  We have enjoyed living in Virginia for 7 years.  I don't have any "spare time hobbies" because I don't have any spare time right now, but if I did, I would read, work on remodeling our house, and visit with deaf people to improve my sign language skills. I am very excited about the opportunity "Camp COMMIT!" gives me to share my experiences about the blessings of being a fulltime mother and helpmeet. This is my second year with Camp COMMIT!  I worship with the Spotsylvania church of Christ.

TAMMY - Crafts & Activities - I am married and have 2 girls, ages 14 and17. I am a native of Pensacola, Florida, where I lived most of my life, before moving to Fredericksburg, VA, 8 years ago.  I am a 5th Grade Teacher Assistant at Fredericksburg Christian School.  I attend Fredericksburg church of Christ, where I teach Sunday school, Children's Bible Hour, and Wednesday evening Bible class, as well as being involved in Lads to Leaders and Leaderettes and the Homeless Ministry.  Some things I enjoy doing are spending time with my family, sewing, reading, and playing volleyball.  This is my second year with Camp COMMIT!

YVETTE - How to Study Your Bible - I have been married for 23 years to my husband, Larry, a full-time evangelist.  We have 3 children: Stephen - 20, Nathan – 18, and Emily - 13.   I have been teaching Bible classes since becoming a Christian in my early teen years.  I love teaching children of all ages, and I continue to learn from each experience.  I look forward to the opportunity to work with these sweet girls at Camp COMMIT!  This is my second year with Camp COMMIT!  I worship with the Charlottesville church of Christ.

DONNA - I’ve been married to my husband Rick for nearly 38 years.  We have 3 grown children, 1 daughter Rachael who is married with  3 children in Georgia, Travis married and expecting baby #1, and Trevor married with 3 children ages 5,4 and 6 mos.  I’m currently caring for two of our grandchildren ages 4 and 6 months daily.  It is very rewarding.  I enjoy sewing, cooking and interpreting for the deaf.  I interpret on most Sundays for worship and Bible class.  I love sharing in the work of the Lord and am thankful for his loving kindness toward me and my family.  I’m a retired teacher of sign language and interpreter at our Community College.  I taught Bible class for many years prior to taking on the beloved care of grandchildren and church interpreting.  I worship with the Imperial Downey church where my husband is currently serving as one of the elders.  I’m very excited to be a part of Camp COMMIT for the first time.

IVENE  - I am the mother of a 14 year old son, Ronnie, and 10 year old daughter, Nia.  This November I will be married for 20 years to the one that God made for me, Ron.  I work full time as a Dept of the Army Police Officer and full time mom and wife.  My passion is taking care of my family and helping them grow into Christians.  I enjoy being an active member of the Spotsylvania Church of Christ.

MKIYAH - Etiquette and Home Decorating classes - I have been  married 8 years to a wonderful man who recently returned from his second tour of duty in Iraq.  I have two young boys.  I work part time and take classes to further my work in the medical field.  I enjoy home decorating projects, and I am teaching my family Spanish.  I love to help with the girls at church and I have worked with the Venture kids at church.  This is my second year with Camp COMMIT!  I worship with the Spotsylvania church of Christ.
